Companionship

Safe at Home Care believe in a relationship-based approach to care and are committed to understanding who they support.  To find out more about you, we first gain an understanding of your needs, personality, hobbies and values.  As that bond grows, all the stories, activities, time and experiences you share together help keep you engaged and active both physically and mentally.

Our support workers understand the benefit from companionship and in-home care.

They enjoy sharing in conversation and reminiscing about old stories, assisting with crafts, playing games and assisting in outdoor activities like walking or gardening.  No matter how near or far our families live, everyone needs companionship. For the elderly, having someone to talk with, share a meal with, or pursue interests with, is vitally important, helping them to feel loved, supported and needed.
